Tom Nelson Recently Elected To The

Archery Hall of Fame Board of Directors

        A life-long resident of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Tom Nelson has been shooting a bow and arrow for almost 50 years. His love for archery began as a young boy who now brings his passion for archery and bowhunting into millions of homes each week as host of award winning "American Archer" TV show now in its 25th season on The Outdoor Channel. Tom is also a regular guest on ESPN Radio and A.M. Outdoor Radio and writes a monthly bowhunting column for Michigan Out-of-Doors magazine. Tom has written (over 300) articles, published in magazines such as Bowhunter Magazine, Western Bowhunter, Hunting the West and Safari Magazine,as well as many others.Tom was recently recognized by the Michigan Bowhunters Association as a Master Bowhunter, only the 12th bowhunter to be honored with this award in over 60 years. During his four plus decades of bowhunting, Tom has taken more than 300 big-game animals representing over 30 different species. He has bowhunted in 27 states, eight Canadian Provinces, Mexico, Namibia, South Africa, New Zealand and Europe. Tom is also a past Board Member and has served as Vice President of Pope & Young.
