    Victoria Cook

                      1933 - 2019

Class of 2011
  Competitor

"Her desire and determination had no equal."

Through many illnesses and surgery this burning desire to be the best woman archer in the world brought this lady many thrilling victories and many friendships.

In 1959, three months after taking up the sport of archery “Vicki” won her first Minnesota State Target Championship. After finishing ninth in the 1960 National Archery Association Championship, Allen Muller became Vicki’s coach. From him she received the knowledge of archery and the inspiration for courage to be a champion.

In 1961 she qualified for the 1961 World Team. That year she placed 7th, but in 1963 she won the coveted world title beating World Champion Nancy Vonderheide by 38 points.

She captured the National Archery Association Title in 1964 and has placed in the top ten 15 times during her career.
